Citadel Trustees recently attended the Fractional Summit 2010 which was held on the 18th and 19th February at the London Marriott Grovesnor Hotel and for a third year running, Citadel Trustees were Gold Sponsors of the event. The Fractional Summit, which ran with the theme this year of “changing times, changing markets”, brought together a record number of attendees this year with over 235 delegates from over 23 countries, with many key industry decision makers present, making it an ideal forum for those thinking of entering the fractional industry and wishing to learn more about it.

High profile UK media were present to cover the event, as well as representatives from some of the leading organizations and suppliers in the shared leisure industry such as Citadel, the Registry Collection, Preferred Resorts, HVS, Ragatz Associates, Irwin Mitchell and Howard Kennedy. Also present were numerous leading independent Consultants, as well as senior representatives of some of the most successful resort developments already active in the fractional industry such as Marriott 47 Park Street, Absolute and Castelo di Casole.

Key note speakers covered a wide range of topics over the two days from definitions on the industry itself, its strengths and advantages, key points to consider for new comers thinking of entering the market, as well as interesting debates on the current challenges facing those already active in the market. Citadel´s Managing Director, Veranne Wilkinson, participated in a very lively debate entitled The Ultimate Fractional Trustee and Legal Q & A which highlighted the strengths and advantages of the Trust structure and generated a number of interesting questions from the floor. Citadel´s Chief Excecutive, Peter Hutchinson, also participated in a very interesting Case Study Panel, which gives new comers in to the market the opportunity to present their projects and receive feedback from a highly experienced team of industry professionals. The two day event closed with an Awards ceremony at which Absolute´s Yoo Phuket Resort in Thailand, received the Fractional Life Readers Choice accolade for best resort.
